So when we’re talking about a smile makeover, the first step would be a consultation to see what the patient’s needs and desires are and to take a look and see what’s going on with the teeth involved. Usually smile makeovers involve a combination of things like crowns, veneers, sometimes bonding and fillings, things of that nature. We can make people feel comfortable when we’re discussing a smile makeover by going through the consultation process and explaining and showing the patient all the different options and discussing what their needs are and incorporating that into how we’re going to plan the smile makeover.
Smiles are a very personal thing. So the first thing you at least that I notice about when I’m talking to somebody is their smile. We talk with our mouth and you know when you’re talking you look at somebody’s mouth.
Smiles are customizable. Not everyone’s smile and mouth is the same. So we take that into consideration when we’re building somebody’s smile and when we’re considering doing a smile makeover.
Sedation is a very useful tool when we’re discussing smile makeovers because usually when we’re talking about a smile makeover there is a lot of work involved and sedation is a good option because we’re able to get the patient comfortable and complete all that work in as minimal visits as possible.
