I have been with Dr. Shamoon since February 5th of 2026. Prior to that, I was going around and around with different dentists and I couldn’t get my issues addressed properly. Finally, I saw this yeah this one guy and it happened to be Dr. Shamoon and he had a video.
I listened to the video. I looked at it. I read the transcript.
Okay, fine. I’ll keep that in the back of my mind because at this point, you know, I had had it with so many dentists and so many issues and pain and taking pain pills and everything else that you just give up and that’s where I was at the point. I went out the backyard one day and I went to my go-to guy and I said, could you please lead me to the dentist that will help me and can you please give me a big neon sign because I won’t get it.
I won’t get the hint, you know, and I was thinking about Dr. Shamoon still during them during that time and my husband came running in the house and he said, Maureen, I think you’ve got your sign. I said what and he comes in and he walks in with this and it’s not neon colors or light bulbs but look at that word in bold letters trust. I was laughing but yet I don’t believe in coincidences.
I believe that things happen for a reason. When I looked at this and I saw Nicole and Dr. Shamoon and Tiffany and I thought, okay, I called and Nicole, the office manager, answered the phone and I told her my story and I was crying and she said, we can help you and I thought, yeah, right, you know, it’s probably what they all say and call them all and they say, yeah, we can help you but no, there was something in her voice, a conviction, like she really meant it. For that first employee group, I walked in the office and there was, I think, Aaron and Tiffany and Nicole and Hope and Kendall and James was in the back and I felt something different about this office and then when I met Dr. Shamoon, very humble person and from his video and his transcript, I knew that he had the education and the expertise but one of the things that he had in the video, he was a dentist, yes, and he had, you know, education, okay, but his main goal was to help people and he’s using the dental arena to do that, you know, what a better place.
There’s lots of people hurting, you know, and I was impressed by that, you know, and then when I met him, I thought, this guy’s for real. I really believe that he has a gift from God and it’s a calling and I think his calling, that’s his vocation is to help people because I have many issues. I also have a TMJ disorder and I have oral mandibular dystonia, which is a whole different ballgame but, I mean, right away, okay, they took the scan for the bite guard and in a previous experience, I had a scan and it was half the size of a TV remote and when you have TMJ, you can’t open up your mouth for a while.
So, when Kendall or Hope, I think it was, they came in and they said, we’re gonna do a scan for your bite guard and I said, wait a minute and she shows me this little wand, a skinny little wand and she said, no, no, we just, here’s a skinny little wand, thinner than an electric toothbrush. I was like, wow, didn’t hurt and then they took x-rays and they didn’t hurt and everything was about my comfort and James was, I mean, he was super, he really cleaned my teeth well. They’re doing things right and they’re kind and compassionate.
I said a prayer, he led me here and you find out that this guy is ethical, honest and you’re not a dollar sign to him. If anything, the one thing I noticed is that when I told him all my issues, he listened, he’s taking notes, he treats you like a human being. You feel valued and I know there’s a lot of people out there that are suffering and it’s needless because if you help me, he can help anybody, I’m telling.

Came here originally because my wife has a lot of dental issues. She saw a lot of dentists who were not able to help her. She had found Dr. Shamoon on the internet while researching other dentists.
So I told her to give it a thought. What’s it going to hurt to go in and talk to him? So she did and she was very happy. I scheduled an appointment with him.
I’ve had a tooth extracted since then. In an exam he kept putting cold and hot and different things on my front teeth and asking me if I could feel anything and I kept telling him no and he kept saying are you sure and I kept telling him yeah I’m sure and he said well the x-ray shows you have a cyst right here and he said I’m going to be sure so I’m going to send you to an oral surgeon. He referred me to an oral surgeon and I went there a few days later was able to get in and he said wow that was a really good catch by Dr. Shamoon.
He said you do have a cyst and that’s what’s pushing your teeth down further and further and I don’t know how long he’s been there but Dr. Shamoon found it and it’s gone now. That’s been a real positive experience and in coming here you know almost every dentist we’ve been to, almost every commercial you see, oh we make you feel like family or whatever but it’s really true here whenever I come here no matter who is sitting at the desk whether it’s Tiffany or any of the other ladies they know you on a first name basis they’re not guessing who you are or why you’re here they know exactly who you are or why you’re here.

I would say totally it is worth it to see Dr. Shamoon and to get to a dentist because if you if you don’t take care of the issue it will get worse and I know from experience it’s well worth your money. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose and you can trust that Dr. Shamoon is not going to be the guy to say oh okay you know you know need all dental implants and you know give you some expensive procedure. He doesn’t do that.
He starts small and he doesn’t give you anything you don’t need. You can expect to be treated like a human being, treated with compassion, kindness and you’re not just a dollar sign walking in the door. Dr. Shamoon is very dedicated to helping people.

I had a tooth extracted actually by an oral surgeon a couple of years ago and he just basically took the pliers and put his knees on my chest and started, and this was an oral surgeon, and Dr. Sharoon had to extract the same tooth on the other side and it took some time but he didn’t pull the pliers out. He sectioned it, he cut it, and it was a much more pleasant experience. I am going to get an implant in that spot so I fully trust that Dr. Sharoon is going to do what needs to be done and it’s not going to be an issue.

North Oaks Dental is fantastic. They always make me feel really comfortable. The receptionists are super friendly, they always ar very welcoming, always remind me when I need to come to appointments. Dr. Daboul always takes care of me, makes me feel really comfortable with all the work that I needed to get done on this guy here. You know what i really like about this practice is that they really care about me and they want to make sure I’m comfortable and I’m not in pain and they’re always kind of checking in on you. They make you comfortable with music in the room for you. They ask you what kind of music you would like to listen to, which makes it always a little more comfortable. Then they always are kind of just go above and beyond making sure that I know when I’m supposed to be here or just things like that.

I didn’t see a dentist for a long time, kind of neglected my teeth for a big part of my life and they were good with kind of coming up with like a plan. You need to do A, B, C and D and that’ll get you on track. Then I got a real bad toothache on a Sunday and the choice was an emergency room or come here. I ended up coming here and I was very happy they were open and available on a Sunday. Team’s experienced and I’m comfortable working with them.Yeah I would just say for me it’s convenience of where it is and again staff is very nice and doctors seem to do a good job and know what they’re doing.

She has had a couple of appointments of just her own for teeth cleanings. And he just is really at ease with her.
You can tell he has kids, and he’s a dad himself. And he gets her involved also. He lets her handle the tools safely, but she likes doing that, you know, pretend like she’s cleaning mom’s teeth, too. I love coming here, because everyone’s just so friendly, and it really feels like a family here. They’re excited to see us when we come. I usually come with my daughter. We have appointments back to back. And so it’s just, the kids love it here. My son will be having his first appointment soon, but he’s been coming with us to see what the dentist is all about. So it’s just a fun place, friendly people.

So I have an adult tooth that’s still in my gums. So I had done Invisalign elsewhere. I was like 18 years old, so I was really young. Went somewhere by my house. And I needed Invisalign to create enough space to get a crown above the baby tooth. I had met with so many orthodontists and dentists, and everyone was just telling me, “You’re too old now. You can’t really pull the tooth down, and yada, yada, yada.”
So finally, I came to North Oaks and talked to Dr. Daboul. He was so kind, so straightforward. He told me, “This is your best option. Don’t think of anything else.” Made me feel comfortable, and instantly, I trusted him and I was like, “Okay, well, the space is there. Do what you have to do, basically.”
The experience was great. I think I’ve had the crown now for like 10 years maybe, maybe a little less, give or take. He shaved down my baby tooth, and he popped it in. And it’s been solid ever since. I’d recommend this practice for everything, but especially for crowns, because like I said, mine has lasted so long. I have never had an issue with it. He checks it all the time. There’s no, like, signification of me needing another one anytime soon, which is amazing.

And I did that and looking back on it now, I’m just so happy that I did, because it gives me more confidence now. I have a nicer smile and you know, my teeth look like the way they should and it’s just healthier too.

Dr. Essayan was my orthodontist and he was just such a knowledgeable guy and I just knew that he was the one that was going to help get me to where I want to be. I don’t really always feel like I’m in a dentist’s office or something, I’m just here with like friends, I guess you’d say. He just let me know from the beginning he wasn’t out there just to get another customer, he was very open and honest. He cared more about being real and honest with me than anything and I really respected that.

And I have honestly recommended all of my friends, not just some of them, all my friends. Even if it’s not for braces, just for a cleaning. It really seems like he tries to keep things updated. He always will tell me about, “I went to this conference or I learned more about this.” I think they take the time to really make sure that they’re keeping up with all the changes and I’m sure there’s a lot of them just like in any field.

Honestly, I love coming here because they make me feel comfortable. That’s the most important thing for me. And I used to hate when I used to come to get like fillings. I never used to let them numb me. And this is the first place that has ever made me feel comfortable with that. And honestly, it was so easy and I just love the atmosphere.
He makes you feel so comfortable. That sets it apart from everywhere else. I feel like at other practices, it was just like, okay, I’m doing my job, you’re another patient, and you’re out. They don’t treat me that way here. They treat me like family, honestly, from day one. He has a really great personality. Like I said, he makes everyone feel like they’re family. He will not do anything until he knows and feels that you’re comfortable with it. And I love that. And he’s a little bit of a jokester, which I like because that’s my personality too. But when it’s time to get serious, he’s serious. And quality of care has been a 10 in every aspect. Whether it’s me getting a cleaning, a filling, an implant, things that I was terrified of, the care in this office is undescribable, honestly.
You know how you feel a vibe with people or places? You just feel that this vibe, they’re very family oriented in themselves. It’s like just because a dentist has an assistant doesn’t mean that they’re the only two. They all help each other out and you feel that when you come here. You feel that. You feel that they all make you feel comfortable whether I’m with Daboul and it’s his assistant or if it’s another assistant. No matter what, someone’s taking care of you and you never feel like you’re waiting too long or you’re not being seen by someone. So I recommend it in that way and just honestly with the vibe in here.

So I recommend it in that way and just honestly with the vibe in here.
I have not came back for the same reason twice. Okay, each job that’s been performed from both root canals to both cavities have been filled, I’ve not had any issues, no pain after what was told to me. That was the biggest thing, you know, you have to go back and do it over again. And that goes back to me saying of how thorough he is with his patients.
I don’t remember the first time more to a point where that I was in a lot of pain and we almost did not handle it. It’s kind of emotional for me because I haven’t had somebody, you know, really look at me like that and say, at my worst time, I was most vulnerable with my mouth like that, and told me what could happen if I did not get it done. No, I want all my teeth. But just the infection, I just…I mean, the pain was unbearable.
Like I said, he looked at me with really good confidence and said, “I’m going to handle you, I’m going to handle this for you. Don’t worry about it.” And he did. He actually had one of his staff members call and check on me after the procedure was done about two, three days later. And that was very big, that was very big and different.

I do private in-home hospice care, and I was very embarrassed to go in to a new patient and then have them see me look like, you understand what I’m saying? It’s like, okay, you’re not even taking care of your own mouth and you want to come in here and take care of our loved ones? So it was a very big struggle for me. Like I said, no one saw my teeth. Even my friends were like, we didn’t realize your teeth were that bad because I hit them that good.

And I’ve actually lost a lot of weight since I’ve had my teeth on because I have corrected my diet. To be honest with you right now, I don’t think about them. Um, they’re my teeth.
I, I, they’ve become a part of me. Um, I never really think that I’ve got, and this is what else I have to say. I have not had one person come up to me and say, are those real? It looks like I don’t even have a cavity in my mouth, and I really appreciate that too because no one wants to smile or laugh and you can see it in the back or something.
And I like looking at myself in the mirror because my teeth are so nice from coming to this place. He makes it very comfortable for me to be here. I can be myself around him and explain to him what I want done with my teeth. And he’s very good with explaining to me what he can do and what he can’t. And he does tell me the consequences that I could get if I do want something done. And I like that he explains that to me too because a lot of doctors won’t and they’ll just go ahead and do it. And then after you’re in pain or whatever, and he likes to tell me what could happen to prevent it. So I like that a lot about him.
And I like looking at myself in the mirror because my teeth are so nice from coming to this place. He makes it very comfortable for me to be here. I can be myself around him and explain to him what I want done with my teeth. And he’s very good with explaining to me what he can do and what he can’t. So the first person who I call when something happens, “Oh, baby.” So what she did was she had Googled a medical emergency and Dr. Shimoun’s office had came up. She said my brother then chipped his tooth. He didn’t…he crying and whining.
So that medical emergency, she walked me in. He looked at me, like, “Ashton, I’m gonna take care of you. Don’t worry about it.” His confidence, honestly, is what drew me closer to him as a man. He looked me in my eyes, came down and said, “Don’t worry about it, you’re in good hands.” Ever since that day, it’s been hell and high water for me, but he has dealt with me with gentle hands and a little confidence when I was at my most vulnerable, you know, with my mouth in it, because I love to eat.

And I was starting to become more customer-facing with my current employer and even my previous employer to where I wanted to have a better smile, and that was the one thing that I was lacking of is I never could have it. So it was always like a goal and so before I got them it was something that I was always trying to work toward. I had a tooth that was like broken and it was in the front and I kept and it was in temporarily and I just kept wondering one day this tooth is going to come out and when it does I’m going to be in trouble and I did not I wanted implants that’s all I wanted and so that was the worst part before I got the implants.
