Restorative dentistry is a number of procedures that we do to basically restore the function of the natural tooth structure and whether that’s a broken tooth that’s broken down or whether it’s a big cavity that needs to be restored or a root canal that needs to be treated. In restorative dentistry there’s so many different types of procedures that we just combine so that way we can restore the function of the natural tooth structure and basically get the longest life possible out of that tooth for our patients because at the end of the day nothing is better than your natural tooth structure and your natural tooth structure is the best option for you so if we can do something to preserve that tooth structure and preserve the enamel and build it build it up and give it the longest life possible we will do that with in combination of our restorative dentistry procedures. All these procedures are they vary depending on the tooth structure and we always like to choose the most conservative option and what’s going to last the patient longest and what the best possible prognosis of the tooth is going to be down the line.
Looking good and having the teeth function at the same time they go hand in hand with each other there can’t be one without the other and I think that’s really important when it comes to dentistry is that some providers don’t combine the two and the biggest thing is combining the two and making sure that you know you’re delivering an aesthetic result but you’re also restoring the function at the same time and you’re creating that healthy environment for your patient so putting these two things in combination with each other is the most important thing when it comes to any type of dentistry and just making sure that we deliver a proper result a good result and something that’s going to last our patients a very long time and make sure that it’s nice and pretty and aesthetic and and the patient’s still functioning the way that they used to. Obviously every dentist wants their perfect patient to come in every 46 months that’s in an ideal beautiful world but unfortunately that’s not the case for everybody you know situations happen life gets in the way and we have to be ready to understand that these patients are going through certain things that we may not know about so that’s why we need to listen and understand what’s going on in their lives and do things that can help them and motivate them to come in and not make them feel bad about it and that’s my job as a provider to help my patients and make sure that they understand where I’m coming from and help motivate them to come in and make sure they want to see me every four to six months you know so if you’re a patient with any painful or damaged teeth or you’re you haven’t been to the dentist in a long time and you feel embarrassed or not confident about your smile please come see me this is a judgment-free zone and we are here for you and I hope to see you soon
