I didn’t see a dentist for a long time, kind of neglected my teeth for a big part of my life and they were good with kind of coming up with like a plan. You need to do A, B, C and D and that’ll get you on track. Then I got a real bad toothache on a Sunday and the choice was an emergency room or come here. I ended up coming here and I was very happy they were open and available on a Sunday. Team’s experienced and I’m comfortable working with them.Yeah I would just say for me it’s convenience of where it is and again staff is very nice and doctors seem to do a good job and know what they’re doing.
I love this practice because the staff is absolutely friendly, and Dr. Daboul is always there to answer any questions and is very willing to go the extra mile for you as an individual, and sees you as a person, and is willing to help you with any needs that you have.

North Oaks Dental is a family place. I’m a family man. I have four children, and Dr. Daboul treats everybody like family. And you see the staff here, and they’re fantastic. She has had a couple of appointments of just her own for teeth cleanings. And he just is really at ease with her.
You can tell he has kids, and he’s a dad himself. And he gets her involved also. He lets her handle the tools safely, but she likes doing that, you know, pretend like she’s cleaning mom’s teeth, too. I love coming here, because everyone’s just so friendly, and it really feels like a family here. They’re excited to see us when we come. I usually come with my daughter. We have appointments back to back. And so it’s just, the kids love it here. My son will be having his first appointment soon, but he’s been coming with us to see what the dentist is all about. So it’s just a fun place, friendly people.

So I have an adult tooth that’s still in my gums. So I had done Invisalign elsewhere. I was like 18 years old, so I was really young. Went somewhere by my house. And I needed Invisalign to create enough space to get a crown above the baby tooth. I had met with so many orthodontists and dentists, and everyone was just telling me, “You’re too old now. You can’t really pull the tooth down, and yada, yada, yada.”
So finally, I came to North Oaks and talked to Dr. Daboul. He was so kind, so straightforward. He told me, “This is your best option. Don’t think of anything else.” Made me feel comfortable, and instantly, I trusted him and I was like, “Okay, well, the space is there. Do what you have to do, basically.”
The experience was great. I think I’ve had the crown now for like 10 years maybe, maybe a little less, give or take. He shaved down my baby tooth, and he popped it in. And it’s been solid ever since. I’d recommend this practice for everything, but especially for crowns, because like I said, mine has lasted so long. I have never had an issue with it. He checks it all the time. There’s no, like, signification of me needing another one anytime soon, which is amazing.

Well, yeah. I never had braces growing up unfortunately. So I knew as I got older that I have to fix this, because all my friends had nice teeth and I needed to fix my smile up too. And I started caring a lot more about my dental health. Just from there I kind of started seeing that it’s time for me to finally take action and even though I’m a little older, I was 22 at the time, I just felt like it was the right time. And I did that and looking back on it now, I’m just so happy that I did, because it gives me more confidence now. I have a nicer smile and you know, my teeth look like the way they should and it’s just healthier too.
I felt at home here and this was the place I wanted to be. Dr. Essayan was my orthodontist and he was just such a knowledgeable guy and I just knew that he was the one that was going to help get me to where I want to be. I don’t really always feel like I’m in a dentist’s office or something, I’m just here with like friends, I guess you’d say. He just let me know from the beginning he wasn’t out there just to get another customer, he was very open and honest. He cared more about being real and honest with me than anything and I really respected that.

I love Dr. Daboul. My husband makes fun of me and he says I’m always here, which I am because within this line you have to come into the office a lot. I’ve never had a bad experience with a dentist, but I looked around when I was going dentist-to-dentist. I just didn’t feel 100% comfortable with anybody, but Dr. Daboul is awesome. He will answer any question you might have, and he also just takes the time to explain exactly what he’s going to be doing so you feel really comfortable, you really understand what’s going to happen and what the process is going to be like before you even get started.
It really seems like he tries to keep things updated. He always will tell me about, “I went to this conference or I learned more about this.” I think they take the time to really make sure that they’re keeping up with all the changes and I’m sure there’s a lot of them just like in any field.

Honestly, I love coming here because they make me feel comfortable. That’s the most important thing for me. And I used to hate when I used to come to get like fillings. I never used to let them numb me. And this is the first place that has ever made me feel comfortable with that. And honestly, it was so easy and I just love the atmosphere.
He makes you feel so comfortable. That sets it apart from everywhere else. I feel like at other practices, it was just like, okay, I’m doing my job, you’re another patient, and you’re out. So I recommend it in that way and just honestly with the vibe in here.

You feel that they all make you feel comfortable whether I’m with Daboul and it’s his assistant or if it’s another assistant. No matter what, someone’s taking care of you and you never feel like you’re waiting too long or you’re not being seen by someone. So I recommend it in that way and just honestly with the vibe in here.
I have not came back for the same reason twice. Okay, each job that’s been performed from both root canals to both cavities have been filled, I’ve not had any issues, no pain after what was told to me. That was the biggest thing, you know, you have to go back and do it over again. And that goes back to me saying of how thorough he is with his patients.
I don’t remember the first time more to a point where that I was in a lot of pain and we almost did not handle it. And she has two of the cavities as well. So she would be on her way in here as well. But it is something amazing because she doesn’t like pain and I don’t either.
And for me to get her something that’s worth more than money to make her feel better is more than anything. And as a mama’s boy, you know, it’s priceless things that we can do so many times. And I feel like that is one of the priceless things that I could have done for her to give her a reference on something good for our family.

She said my brother then chipped his tooth. He didn’t…he crying and whining.
So that medical emergency, she walked me in. He looked at me, like, “Ashton, I’m gonna take care of you. Don’t worry about it.” His confidence, honestly, is what drew me closer to him as a man. He looked me in my eyes, came down and said, “Don’t worry about it, you’re in good hands.” Ever since that day, it’s been hell and high water for me, but he has dealt with me with gentle hands and a little confidence when I was at my most vulnerable, you know, with my mouth in it, because I love to eat.
He understood me. He looked me in my eyes, shook my hand and told me, “If there’s anything else I can do for you, please let us know.” And that went from me to both my sisters and my mother. And I was, like, “Man, thank you so very much, from two root canals to two cavities to just a mental breakdown period.” He looked at me, he said, “Don’t worry about it. I’m gonna handle everything for you. Don’t worry about it.” I just… He just said, “Don’t worry about it.” His confidence was just out the window. And I was, like, “My man got it.” And we came and that was that.

Every time I come here, you know, I get a cleaning and they make sure I have my next appointment scheduled before I leave, which I like to because, you know, you have to go every six months to get it done to keep that hygiene. And yeah, they’ve done a couple of cavities for me too, which I love. It looks like I don’t even have a cavity in my mouth, and I really appreciate that too because no one wants to smile or laugh and you can see it in the back or something.
And I like looking at myself in the mirror because my teeth are so nice from coming to this place. He makes it very comfortable for me to be here. I can be myself around him and explain to him what I want done with my teeth. And he’s very good with explaining to me what he can do and what he can’t. And he does tell me the consequences that I could get if I do want something done. And I like that he explains that to me too because a lot of doctors won’t and they’ll just go ahead and do it. And then after you’re in pain or whatever, and he likes to tell me what could happen to prevent it. So I like that a lot about him.
And I like looking at myself in the mirror because my teeth are so nice from coming to this place. He makes it very comfortable for me to be here. I can be myself around him and explain to him what I want done with my teeth. And he’s very good with explaining to me what he can do and what he can’t. And he does tell me the consequences that I could get if I do want something done. And I like that he explains that to me too because a lot of doctors won’t and they’ll just go ahead and do it. And then after you’re in pain or whatever, and he likes to tell me what could happen to prevent it. So I like that a lot about him.
I love that when I come in here, they treat you like family. You know, everyone is so sweet to you. Everyone comes up to me and asks me how my day is and they know my name. And I love that, like, everybody knows my name and they go by my first name when I walk into the office and everything. And it just makes me feel good because not everybody likes coming to the dentist. So they make it very at ease when you walk in here. And I really recommend this place to everybody.

North Oaks kind of changed that for me completely because they took the portion that I saw every single day in the mirror that was chipping away, that was falling apart, and kind of made a brand new and kind of re-imaged myself into a more competent individual, which is great to have, especially when you’re dealing with clients.
The third dentist I actually went to and trying to get a quote on it, and the reason for it was I wanted to do my research to understand what actually needed to be done. What they did that other dentists couldn’t do was actually walk through the step-by-step process and help me understand why doing this now, why putting in the extra money a little bit in the beginning for the amount of work that was done in my mouth would improve my quality of life. That alone was probably the biggest thing that sold me at North Oaks was that they were willing to show me what it’s going to bring in a confidence level. That was what was really helpful.

Like I said, they showed me the process during the middle of it and just seeing the transition of it. Once I saw that last one, I still couldn’t believe it was me. Actually, to be honest, I still get it day by day that I look in the mirror and I’m like, “I don’t regret what I did at all.”

And it does bring up some anxiety, but they kind of show you and walk you through it. They, “Hey, look, we’re experienced this. We’ve done our research.” And that, I think, is what soothed me a little bit, because I’m more of a data analytical guy. I like to see what and why people do what they do. And North Oaks has been able to provide that to me every single day that I’ve come here.
Technology is forefront in my mind. And from what I’ve talked to the staff about and just the progress that I’ve seen off it, they do their research. They’re not prehistoric. They’re not trying to just, you know, not learn new things. They always are trying to advance their technology, which is great. And that was one thing that super sold me on it.
The second one is the staff. I honestly wouldn’t go to a dentist if it wasn’t for the staff behind it. And it’s not just the dentist itself. It’s everybody that you talk to. Everybody that’s on the phone, they’re willing to work with you, get you rescheduled in. It’s an amazing experience all in all.
