When patients come in for whitening, I always like to get an idea of what their expectations are out of the whitening. Some people may think just because they whiten their teeth that that’s going to deliver the optimal smile for them. That’s not always the case.
Whitening can only do so much. It can only change the shade of your teeth a couple shades or so, but if you’re looking to change the shape of a certain tooth or if you’re looking to change the positioning, whitening can’t deliver that. So that’s when we usually combine that with dental veneers or implants or whatever maybe, but we’ll usually combine it with other cosmetic procedures to give the patient the optimal result.
And we’re always looking at the most conservative option when it comes to dentistry. So just because you think you may need, you know, a mouthful of veneers, that might not always be the case. You know, sometimes we can get away with just doing whitening and then doing like a single veneer or doing two veneers or a combination of different types of dentistry.
And I think that’s the thing that I appreciate the most about cosmetic dentistry because every cosmetic dentist wants to be as conservative as possible. If you’re not, then you’re doing dentistry in the wrong way. And I think delivering those results to our patients with a combination of other types of cosmetic procedures, I think that’s what people appreciate about us.
And we take into account all of those things and deliver the best, most conservative and most optimal results for our patients using a combination of cosmetic procedures.
