Take The Time To Brush

Our friends at the American Dental Association say that you should brush your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes each time. We whole-heartedly agree. Just don’t do it too hard or you might damage your teeth and gums, while trying to do what is right for them. When it comes to removing plaque, longer periods of brushing is better than harder.

Make Sure You Floss

Flossing is important. Alot of the surface area of a tooth is actually hidden below the gumline where a toothbrush can’t reach. Accordingly, taking this step every day will reduce your risk of tooth decay and gum disease, which is the #1 cause of tooth loss in adults. So, make sure you are doing this once a day at least.

Drink Lots Of Water

Drinking water helps with producing saliva. And water, since it does not contain any harmful substances like sugar and has no acidity, will also clean out food particles. Additionally, tap water contains fluoride, a natural substance that has been shown to reduce the risk of tooth decay and even restore damaged enamel.
