As the time nears for your kids to return to school, you’re probably shopping for notebooks and similar supplies. But don’t forget smile care! Your loved ones will feel more confident if their teeth feel and look good. Let the North Oaks Dentall team help get them ready for back to school!

Our dentists can:

  • Extract Problematic Teeth – Many people get their wisdom teeth in their late teens or early 20s. They can be uncomfortable and may also cause problems with surrounding teeth. If your older child is experiencing dental discomfort, bring them in so our dentists can check them out. If they need to have wisdom teeth removed, it’s best to get it done before they return to school. That way, they can take it easy for a few days after the procedure.
  • Check for Issues That Need to Be Addressed – Schedule your children’s exams now. This gives your dentist an opportunity to identify issues that should be addressed, such as cavities that may need a filling. Our team will also clean their teeth to remove disease-causing plaque and tartar.
  • Protect Their Teeth From Cavities – Your dentist may recommend dental sealants and/or fluoride treatments to give your children’s teeth additional protection against cavities. According to the CDC, sealants can prevent up to 80 percent of cavities for two years, and offer continued protection against cavities for up to four years.
  • Beautify Smiles – The school year often involves meeting new people and maybe joining clubs or pursuing other activities. Help your family members feel confident when they smile by getting teeth whitening, bonding, or other cosmetic treatments.
  • Prepare Athletes for the Season – If your kids play sports, they’ll need mouthguards to protect their teeth from damage. We can fit them for custom mouthguards. Custom guards fit better and offer more protection than products from a sporting goods store.
