Dr. Gerald Wesley comes from a family of dentists. He and a brother are orthodontists, and another brother is a prosthodontist. His oldest son is an orthodontist, too. He became a dentist so he would have the ability to change a person’s life for the better by helping them enjoy the benefits of a beautiful smile.
He excelled in dental school at the University of Detroit, serving as class president and graduating at the top of his class in 1985. He also graduated at the top of his class in his orthodontics program at Georgetown University in 1987. A member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, he won both the Francis B. Vedder Award for Prosthodontics and the American Association of Orthodontics Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Ortho-Facial Complex. He’s been practicing at North Oaks Dental since 2013.
He strives to do everything he can at each appointment so a patient’s orthodontic treatment never takes longer than necessary. His favorite part of his job is when he gets to look at the before and after photographs on the day a patient’s braces come off.
Away from the office, Dr. Wesley’s hobbies include working out with weights, upland bird hunting, archery deer hunting, and competitive sporting clays.
