I can sit there and take somebody's condition and educate them on how I can help fix it, and find a plan that's tailored to them. And the gratification I get helping somebody get their treatment done, is amazing. The staff that I have, why they do what they do is to help people, also. Everybody has a job, they go to work, but when you get to go to work and you get to help people at the same time, and you're not just selling somebody something they don't need. You're actually helping solve a problem for them, and you see the appreciation they give you back, is priceless.
That's why I do it, for the people that we get to affect and change lives. I ended up shadowing my dentist, my lifelong dentist, and got to know all the creative things he did to help peoples' teeth improvement and their oral health. He did a lot of things like rebuilding mouths, and the detail that went into it was amazing, and I saw the difference he made in someone's life in such a short amount of time, that I felt like I wanted to do that for the rest of my life. So I got very lucky, and went for it, and I haven't looked back.
Thanks to North Oaks Dental’s team of Royal Oak, MI dentists and orthodontists, we can provide all your family’s dental needs in one place. No more filling up your calendar and driving all over town for multiple appointments!
With several doctors, we’re able to offer you extended hours, including Saturday hours. That makes it easy to see your family for same-day appointments, whether it’s for a dental emergency or a last-minute dental cleaning before an extended business trip.

The most rewarding part of being a dentist for me is making a change in somebody's condition. You come in and you're having pain, or you can't chew, or you can't eat. Honestly, I get the most reward out of the patient who comes in and says, I've had bad experiences before. I'm really scared. I can't get this done. Just through education, explain to the patient why they need what they need done, how we're going to do it, every step of the way.
Then, we finish their treatment and sit them up, and they say, wow. It's never been that simple before. And, wow, I barely felt that. That was great. Every time that happens, that's where I get the most gratification from, is seeing that I was able to help this person in a way somebody else couldn't. I'm going above and beyond, and my skills are being used well. It really is fulfilling.
