Dr. Andrei Taut Loves Improving Patients’ Smiles
Raised in Sterling Heights, MI, Dr. Andrei Taut attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology with a minor in medical anthropology. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Taut then completed a residency to receive his master’s and certificate in orthodontics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Taut is a licensed specialist and board-certified orthodontist. He offers many orthodontic treatments, including:
- Early Interceptive orthodontics
- Metal braces
- Ceramic braces
- Invisalign
- Surgical-orthodontic treatment
- Clear retainers
- Permanent retainers
Dr. Taut is an active member of:
- The American Association of Orthodontists
- The Michigan Association of Orthodontists
- The American Board of Orthodontics
- The Aligner Intensive Fellowship
- The American Dental Association
- The Michigan Dental Association
Outside of the office, Dr. Taut enjoys spending time with his wife, Shannon, their two children, Ella and Declan, and their goldendoodle, Murphy. He also enjoys traveling and experiencing all cultures, trying new recipes, exercising, and watching sports and documentaries.

I was really nervous to get some work done and they talked through the entire procedure, made sure it was painless, and kept things moving smoothly. Dr. Karmo and Shelby both did a great job and have helped lower my anxiety for follow up appointments.

The office is immaculate, and everyone is so friendly and professional. Every dental hygienist is excellent, I’m sure, but Maha and Klaudia have been our regulars for years, and we adore them! We appreciate you taking such good care of our teeth!

All scripts were given to me early, several calls to let me know what to expect. I had no running around to do today. Just had to follow directions to feel well
